Immigration Psychological Evaluations
Who We Serve:
We work with individuals and families referred by immigration attorneys in a variety of cases, including:
- Asylum– documenting psychological effects of past persecution or trauma
- Hardship Waivers (I-601 / I-601A)– showing the emotional and mental health impact of family separation
- VAWA Petitions– documenting the effects of domestic violence
- U Visa Applications– assessing trauma related to being a crime victim
What an Immigration Evaluation Includes:
An immigration evaluation is a comprehensive clinical assessment that may include:
- Personal and family history
- Migration journey and relevant life events
- Current symptoms and their impact on daily life
- Standardized mental health assessments
- Professional clinical observations and diagnostic impressions
- A detailed written report prepared for your attorney ensuring that we are meeting USCIS evidentiary standards.
- We do not provide legal advice—our role is to offer an independent, professional evaluation of mental health and functioning
What to Expect:
- Initial Interview– to discuss your personal history, current concerns, and relevant events
- Assessment Tools– questionnaires to measure depression, anxiety, PTSD, or other symptoms
- Follow-Up Interview– to clarify details and gather any additional information
- Report Delivery– your attorney receives a complete, attorney-ready report
Timeline & Fees:
- Reports are typically completed within 2–4 weeks after the final interview
- Rush service available (additional fee)
- Immigration evaluations are private-pay services and are not covered by health insurance
